Jake*

"I am 13 years old. I’m very sporty and love going swimming. I’m part of my school football club and enjoy playing on my Xbox! I also enjoy music, drama and going to stagecoach.

"I have lived with my foster carers since July 2014. Since living here my behaviour has really improved. I like having film nights and going to the park with my carers. I’m looking forward to having a forever family as long as I get to keep my Xbox!"

"If I could have my own special wish… I would go to Disneyland Paris!"

Jake needs a long term foster placement to be his forever family and give him permanence and security  for these crucial years of his life.

Here’s what people say about Jake:

“Jake has a great sense of humour and enjoys making people laugh. His favourite thing at the moment is a remote control helicopter that squirts water! Jake is a very happy and loving boy.  He has a sense of fun, he likes jokes and pranks (like putting his plastic spider under your pillow) and he laughs a lot.” – one of Jake's short term foster carers

“Jake has 100% attendance at school and gets on well with his teachers. Jake can find school difficult at times  and benefits from one to one support. He is working really hard to improve his reading and writing although he’s really enjoying mathematics. Jake is now getting more rewards at school for good behaviour and is starting to make more friends.” - Jake's school

“Jake wants to be loved and will generally respond well if you explain how he needs to change his behaviour.  When he first came to live with us he tried to take control of everything, this has settled down, but can resurface if he is anxious or stressed. He has responded well to clear boundaries and he seems to be making progress in this respect.” – one of Jake's short term foster carers
