Sophie* is an active, creative and caring 12 year old who is waiting for a long term foster placement.

Sophie loves trampolining, swimming, rounders, netball and Girl Guides. She also enjoys music, acting, arts and crafts, and cooking. Sophie likes helping out by tidying and washing up, she works hard at school, and she cares about people. Last year she did a sponsored walk to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. She has a good group of friends who she likes to meet up with or to go shopping and listen to music with.

Sophie has experienced neglect and is currently in a children’s home. She has worked hard to develop healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle so would benefit from being in an active family. She has learnt to trust people around her and can reflect on past experiences. Although it can take her time to trust new people, once she is relaxed she is great company. She would like to be part of a family who can make her feel welcome and who want to spend time with her.
