It's All About Me

Home for Good is working with Adoption Matters and PACT to find ‘extra special families’ for ‘extra special children’.

It’s All About Me (IAAM) is a new initiative that aims to find families for children who, for a variety of reasons, are particularly difficult to find families for. These children might be older, have additional needs or be sibling groups. For many of these children, this is considered to be their last chance to be adopted.

The IAAM programme aims to recognise the challenges and ensure adopters are well equipped to deal with them.

> The children have a comprehensive assessment which not only outlines what some of the future challenges may be, but provides details of what could be done to overcome or manage these.

> Extra training is provided before the adoption takes places to ensure that families are well prepared. Then, post adoption additional support is available.

To find out more about this scheme visit the IAAM website or phone the Home for Good team on 0300 001 0995.
